What to do after a disappointing mock
Make the next step small and specific.
Give the score context
Papers differ in content and difficulty. A score alone does not explain what happened, and a raw score change across different papers need not represent a change in preparation.
Start with a manageable review
Take a break if needed. Later, choose a small group of questions you want to understand. You do not need to repair every gap in one session.
Example
Begin with a familiar question where your approach almost worked. Identify the missing step and try again without the explanation before moving to a larger concept gap.
Choose your next task
Continue with an achievable revision or practice action. If you need academic guidance, use an available teacher/support path rather than expecting a notification to interpret your feelings.
- Allow context and a break.
- Review a small group.
- Choose an achievable next task.
