What a NEET mock test on Autonise is like
Each test is a full NEET paper: Physics, Chemistry and Biology, timed for the whole exam. The question palette, marking for review and the timer work as they do in a computer-based exam.
When you submit, you get your marks subject by subject, and every question shows whether you got it right. Your attempts also show which chapters cost you marks.
The NEET paper pattern
This is the pattern NTA used in 2025. NTA announces each year's pattern in the information bulletin.
- 180 questions, all compulsory: 45 in Physics, 45 in Chemistry and 90 in Biology (Botany and Zoology).
- All questions are multiple choice with one correct answer.
- +4 for a correct answer and −1 for a wrong one. Unanswered questions score 0.
- 720 marks in total, in 3 hours.
Practise on a screen
NEET is expected to move to a computer-based test, possibly as soon as next year. If it does, students who have only practised on paper will meet the screen, the palette and the on-screen timer for the first time in the exam hall. Taking mocks on Autonise gets you used to them now.
How to use mock tests before NEET 2027
- Take a full test early to find out where you stand, even before the syllabus is finished.
- Sit each test in one go, at the time of day of the real exam.
- Review every wrong and skipped question, especially in Biology, which carries half the marks.
- Keep a list of the chapters that cost you marks, and revise them before the next test.
- Move to one full test a week, then two, in the last two months.

Frequently asked questions
Is the NEET mock test free?
Your first full-length NEET test is free and needs no sign-up. More papers and the full analysis come with a plan.
How long is a NEET mock test?
A full test has 180 questions and lasts 3 hours, like the real exam.
Is NEET going to be computer-based?
It is expected to be, possibly as soon as next year, but NTA has not confirmed it. Practising on a screen now means the format will not be new to you on exam day.
When should I start taking NEET mock tests?
Start as soon as you can sit a full paper. Early tests show which chapters need work while there is still time to fix them.
